My hometown is Deyang, a habitable city near Chengdu, where the climate is pleasant and the peopleare hospitable.

Our City has many Cultural relics like Three Star Mound, Confucian Temple, Pang Tong Temple, etc.

There are many special delicacy foods in my hometown. One of the most famous is Jiannan Chun,which is a type of Chinese liquor that started in Tang Dynasty, known as the national wine of Tang Dynasty.

My undergraduate major is computer science. The main core courses include computer organization, operation system, object oriented programming and constrution, compilation technology and so on.

My favorite course is computer organization, also called CO, in which We learned to build a 5-level pipline CPU. It’s definitely a great challenge to undergraduate, but the difficulty has also motivated us to learn. Through the thrilling Labs and exams, we have a deeper understanding of the basic principles of computer organization and are more proficient in constructing engneering code. In a word, this course is really fasinating and I volunteered to be a teaching assistant in the next year’s courses.

Undergraduate study made me understand the basic assumptions, knowledge and skills of computer science, and it also made me understand the importance of combining learning and doing, which motivated me to continue to learn and carry out scientific research practice, so as to achieve the all-round development of myself.

my hobby is playing Weiqi.

As a fan of Weqi, I had learn much play skills from AI (in fact that is AlphaGO) back in 2016, and it was then that I developed an enthusiasm about computer science, which makes me here today.

My biggest advantage is that I have perserverance and courage when in face of difficulty. I will never surrender to the problems encontered in study and science research work.

I think my biggest weakness is that maybe Sometimes I care too much about other people’s feelings, which leads to some inefficiencies in decision-making. However, I am also working hard to correct my shortcomings and learn to express my views more directly.

I was born in an ordinary but lovely family, which is a simple family of three people.

I think my parents gave me a lot of freedom and room to grow, they always supported my every choice and gave me advice when the time was right. They believe that study can change my destiny, so they encouraged me to keep learning.

In such a family environment, I grew up as an independent and optimistic boy. I am very grateful to my family for helping me grow, and I hope I can become their little pride.

My cousin also plays an important role on my way of growing up. When I was in primary school, he erolled in Tsinghua University, which encouraged me to follow his example and learn hard. When I have gone to Beihang University, he always visits meet during weekend, having conversation with me about life in the university and teach me useful knowledge like programming and linear algebra.

My favourite book is Computer Systems: A Programmer’s Perspective, also called CS:APP. It’s written by Prof. Randal E. Bryant of Carnegie Mellon University.

the reason why I like the book Computer Systems: A Programmer’s Perspective (CS:APP) is that it provides a deep understanding of how computer systems work at the hardware and software level. The way it bridges the gap between high-level programming and the underlying machine architecture is fascinating, making abstract concepts like memory hierarchy, processors, and operating systems much more tangible. The hands-on approach, especially with the practical exercises in C, helps solidify complex topics like pointers, assembly language, and optimization. It’s one of those books that enhances both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, giving a more complete perspective of how programs interact with the hardware to deliver efficient performance.

I joined Lab of Architecture as an intern when I was a sophomore. My research interest is in the design automation of CPU and GPU.

I took part in developing a cycle accurate GPU simulator called Flex-GPUsim. It has balanced speed and accuray, with high modulation and flexible granularity.

I have also researched Sniper, a CPU simulator. We try to construct a thouasand processor-level simulator for Chiplet interconnection.

This biggest difficulty I met was that I often tried to code the model before I had thought it clear about what function I wanted to achieve and the basic principles and frames about the model. Luckily, with the guidance of my superivsor, I had overcame this difficulty and finished my work successfully.

Through Tow scientific research experiences, I learn a lot about academic research. Such as design, coding, data collection, data processing and data analysis, Also, it developed my literature reading, independent thinking, teamwork and leadership skills.

My undergraduate university is Behang University, also called BUAA, located in Beijing. My university has a strong academic atmosphere and excellent faculty.

There are many excellent teachers here, with excellent professional backgrounds and rigorous academic attitudes. They not only taught me professional knowledge, but also taught me on the academic road.

It has to be said that Beijing is a very suitable city for study. It has many useful learning resources like National Library and National Museum. What’s more, there are a lot of culture spots like Beijing People’s Art theatre, the Palace Museum, Beihai Park, the Summer Palace and so on.

In such a humanistic and geographical environment, I have cultivated my character of pursuing truth and self-improvement. I believe that will not only have a great impact on my postgraduate studies, but also on my life.

I prioritize my tasks by creating a schedule and setting clear goals. This helps me allocate sufficient time to both my academic responsibilities and extracurricular activities.

I regularly read ressearch papers, academic journals, and attend conferences or seminars related to my field to stay updated with the latest developments.

18.Could you share an example of a teamwork experience where you play a crucial rule in achieving a common role?

I joined the teaching group of computer organization as an teaching assistant and developer, where I edit the tutorials, prepare the weekly exams and maintain the website and database of the course.

19.What challenges do you anticipate facing during your postgraduate studies, and how do you plan to address(设法解决) them?

I anticipate facing challenges such as getting stuck in my research, having difficulty writing project code. To address them, I plan to seek guidance from professors, maintain a disciplined study routinue, and adapt to new learning environments.

20.How do you handle stress and pressure in an academic setting(环境)?

I manage stress by setting realistic goals, practicing time management, and seeking support from mentors or peers when needed.

21.How do you plan to contribute to our university’s student community if admitted to our program?

I will continue to serve as the teaching assistant and developer of community in school of computer science and engineering as I have done during undergraduate stage.
